On 25th of September we shot the last images of LES FANTOMES in Berlin! The camera followed our main actor Adam Bessa from Hauptbahnhof to the streets of Neukölln. The next day, we recorded the voices that will be heard throughout the film at Sonnenstudio.

He’s a member of the Yaqaza cell, a secret organisation composed of Syrian citizens who track down war criminals.
The French-german co-production was funded a.o. by the FFA, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and Eurimages.

DESERTS is a modern western that paints a kaleidoscopic portrait of Moroccan society.
It's the third time Faouzi Bensaïdi presents a film in Cannes, after his short film LE MUR screened at the Director's Fortnight in 2000 and his Debut A THOUSAND MONTHS, received two awards at Un Certain Regard.

In the Orizzonti / Critics’ Week sections of the 79th Venice International Film Festival, the FIPRESCI award went to AUTOBIOGRAPHY by Makbul Mubarak. Motivation: “Through the film’s intimate portrait of two generations living under one roof, the director masterfully examines a painful historical period of transition in his nation. Our international co-production MORE THAN EVER by Emily Atef premieres in the Un Certain Regard section in Cannes.
MORE THAN EVER ("Plus que jamais") is about the love of a couple confronted with the unthinkable. The film stars VICKY KRIEPS and GASPARD ULLIEL.
This is the second selection at the Festival de Cannes for director Emily Atef who was already represented at the Semaine de la Critique in 2008 with THE STRANGER IN ME, which we produced.

Finally the german cinemas are up and running again. SUNBURNED celebrated its German cinematic release with a few team members at Open-Air Cinema Insel in Berlin, which was completely sold out. We couldn't have wished for a better evening, even tough we missed our international team terribly and thank them for all their inspiring hard work.

The last part of the shooting of our international co-production FATHER takes currently place in North Rhine Westphalia, including in the JHQ Rheindahlen. On 22nd of July a press conference in the presence of director Visar Morina and his main cast will take place in Nicole Gerhard’s hometown Mönchengladbach.

At this year's Edinburgh Film Festival Nicole Gerhards formed next to Linda Ruth Williams and Lenora Crichlow the Short Film Competition Jury. The Virgin Atlantic Little Red Award went this year to Nick Rowland’s SLAP. Daisy Jacobs was pleased with the Award for Creative Innovation in a Short Film for THE BIGGER PICTURE, while Ainslie Henderson and Will Anderson accepted the Award for Outstanding Individual Contribution to a Short Film for MONKEY LOVE EXPERIMENT.

HOMELAND, SEX AND FURTHER INCONVENIENCES will be broadcast today at 11.05 p.m. and afterwards at 3.30 a.m. on ZDFkultur. The director Réka Kincses shows a story taken from everyday life about two well integrated foreigners in Germany who have to face challenges in their relationship. A very honest and close view, told with an intense authenticity.
