NiKo Film was founded in 2006 and produces arthouse cinema films for the international market. Both personally and socially relevant, these films represent individual voices without imposing an opinion. Films that have been sold worldwide and successfully screened at prestigious festivals such as Cannes, Berlinale, Venice, Karlovy Vary and Sundance. NiKo Film was the main producer of films such as KILL ME and THE STRANGER IN ME by Emily Atef, BABAI by Visar Morina (amongst others Best Director Karlovy Vary 2015) and co-producer of films such as THE PRIZE by Paula Markovitch (Silver Bear Berlinale 2011), UNTIL THE BIRDS RETURN by Karim Moussaoui, YALDA - A NIGHT FOR FORGIVENESS by Massoud Bakhshi (World Cinema Grand Jury Prize at Sundance 2020), MORE THAN EVER by Emily Atef (Cannes - Un Certain Regard 2022), AUTOBIOGRAPHY (Fipresci Award in Venice - Orizzonti 2022) by Makbul Mubarak, DÉSERTS by Faouzi Bensaïdi (Cannes - Directors' Fortnight 2023), WHERE ZEBUS SPEAK FRENCH by Nantenaina Lova (DOK Leipzig & IDFA 2023), DEMBA by Mamadou Dia (Berlinale Encounters 2024) and DISCO AFRIKA by Luck Razanajaona (Berlinale Generation 14+ 2024).

GHOST TRAIL by Jonathan Millet and A VILLAGE NEXT TO PARADISE by Mo Harawe celebrated their world premiere in Cannes 2024, while the co-production L'EFFACEMENT by Karim Moussaoui in post-production.

As the main producer, NiKo Film is developing the miniseries THE REPLACEMENTS by Kai Gero Lenke, BRAUTRAUB by Sophia Mocorrea, RESHMA SHERA by Megha Ramaswamy and the children's film KOMAPAPA by Doro Gottwald. The German co-productions WURZELN UND FLÜGEL by Anatol Schuster and VANJA by Aleksandra Odi? are currently in production.

NiKo Film was listed among the top 75 independent European producers by Screen Daily in 2022.
