NiKo Film was founded in Berlin in 2006 and produces art-house feature and documentary projects for cinema and television. Since then we have made over 25 films, all of which except the first two were international co-productions.

Exceptional films are our passion. Films bearing a distinct signature and a unique identity.  We produce universal stories that take us away to a different world and move us. We consider ourselves accomplices of our writers and directors and help them realise their vision. Our films are personal and socially relevant; they represent particular attitudes, while never forcing the issue.

They were sucessfully screened at renowned festivals and were awarded in many cases, for example in Cannes, at the Berlin International Film Festival, at Sundance, in Venice and Toronto. NiKo Film was the lead producer on eg. KILL ME and THE STRANGER IN ME by Emily Atef (Cannes - Semaine Internationale de la Critique), BABAI by Visar Morina (International Film Festival Karlovy Vary – Competition), and co-producer on films like DOUBLE TAKE by Johan Grimonprez (Berlin International Film Festival  – Forum Expanded), THE PRIZE by Paula Markovitch (two Silver Bears at the Berlin International Film Festival, amongst other accolades) THE MEMORY OF WATER by Matías Bize (Venice Days), THREE WINDOWS AND A HANGING by Isa Quosja, THE SEXUAL NEUROSIS OF OUR PARENTS by Stina Werenfels (Berlin International Film Festival 2015 – Panorama) and CLASH by Mohamed Diab (Cannes, Un Certain Regard).
